Rentmate (“we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Rentmate mobile application.

When you use Rentmate, we may collect the following information:

• Account Information: Email address and encrypted password for registration and login.
• Business Owner Information: Phone number, business details, product listings, profile photo, and location information.
• Rental Seeker Information: Email address.
• Chat Data: Text messages, images, and location shared between users within the app.
• Device & Usage Data: Device type, operating system version, app activity, and advertising identifiers.
• Subscription Information: Purchase and subscription details processed by Google Play.

We do not collect or store your payment card details. Payments are securely processed by Google Play.

2. How We Use Information

• To create and manage user accounts
• To display rental listings and business information
• To enable user-to-user chat functionality
• To manage subscriptions
• To improve app performance and security
• To display advertisements
• To respond to support requests

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services including:

• Firebase (authentication, database, and chat services)
• Google AdMob (advertising services)
• Google Play Billing (subscription and payment processing)

These services may collect and process data according to their own privacy policies.

4. Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your Rentmate account and associated data by emailing:

Subject: Account Deletion Request
Include your registered email address or phone number.

Deletion requests are processed within 7 working days. Account deletion permanently removes user account data, listings, and chat history stored in our systems.

Some billing or transaction records may be retained as required by law or Google Play policies.

5. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect user information but cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Children’s Privacy

Rentmate is not intended for children under 13 years of age.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with the revised effective date.
